We don’t do it alone.
Most companies rely on partnerships to produce their clothing. We’re just the same.
We feel a responsibility for every person involved in the creation of our apparel. When we started our search for partners, we decided on a few things we aren’t willing to compromise on. The first is the fair treatment of workers. The second is good factory conditions. The third is high quality production.
We make our apparel in China, a place that’s been justifiably criticised for some of the working conditions there. We don’t shy away from this. But China is also home to some world class eco-fabric and apparel manufacturers. Instead of closing that door, we decided to support companies that are genuinely committed to all-round excellent standards that are independently verifiable.
We only work with companies we know and trust who live up to these principles.
All our partners uphold Business Social Compliance Initiative (BSCI) standards and follow the BSCI Code of Conduct. BSCI companies must pay above minimum wage, use no child labour, and any overtime must be optional and paid at a higher rate. Factories are independently audited to verify this.
Our partners encourage development for the people they employ. This means working environments with standards that facilitate long term employment and growth. Every year, we will allocate part of our profits to creating upskill opportunities for people who work in our supply chain.
Our apparel is highly technical and made to last. Our partners have the technological capabilities and track record to produce clothing to this high calibre. Whether in fabric production or pattern cutting, our partners all have specialist experience creating precise, high performance apparel.
