Reflo is delighted to confirm today (7 July) that a partnership has been agreed with leading sustainable racing team, Veloce Racing.
From this week’s Island X Prix double-header in Sardinia, all Veloce Racing teamwear will be provided by Reflo, as drivers Christine GZ and Lance Woolridge take on some of the toughest terrains in the world in the all-electric off-road series Extreme E.
Reflo and Veloce will be collaborating on an official apparel collection, with the Be Radical drop set to take place later this year. Also to come is an exciting Reflo x Veloce content series documenting the partnership, with the first episode due to be launched in the coming weeks.
Furthermore, 2,360 trees will be planted in Reflo’s forest in Madagascar as part of the partnership, and as a result of using Reflo teamwear, the equivalent of 24,708 plastic bottles will be recycled.
Reflo clothing is made from advanced technical fabrics woven from recycled waste, created to adhere to multiple sustainability certifications including Global Recycled Standard, Bluesign, Oetko-Tex and U Trust.
With sustainability and a vision for the future also being key pillars for Veloce Racing and the Extreme E series in which it competes, the synergy between the brands is clear.
The durable, sustainable clothing provided by Reflo is in line with a changing world and is currently being worn by the entire Veloce Racing team amid sweltering conditions in Sardinia, with Rounds 2 and 3 of the 2022 Extreme E Season set to take place this week (6-10 July).
Following the trip to Italy, the all-electric SUV motor racing championship will continue to visit some of the harshest environments on the planet. The campaign concludes with events in Chile and Uruguay, as Reflo supply Veloce Racing with sustainable outerwear, tops, bottoms and accessories.
Daniel Bailey, CEO, Veloce Racing, said: “We’re delighted to be working with Reflo. Not only does the clothing look amazing, the sustainable, futureproof design is paramount to our beliefs here at Veloce Racing.
“Travelling to some of the harshest environments in the world and encountering varied conditions means that is vital for us to be working with a specialist in the field.
“Everyone representing Veloce Racing looks the part and we can’t wait to continue this adventure, while striving for undoubted success, alongside our partners at Reflo.”
Rory MacFadyen, Co-Founder, Reflo, commented: “Our partnership with Veloce is not only about sustainable apparel, it's about a synchronised vision on how things should be done. We're both UK based companies who share the hunger to disrupt in our respective fields, and ignite positive change for society and the planet.
“We look forward to kitting out this epic team as they take on the most stunning sceneries across the planet, and if we achieve our mutual goals the planet will remain stunning for future generations to enjoy.”
